Bertha “Bert” Hensley was our founder’s great grandmother and inspiration for Bert’s Bakery. She was celebrated throughout Eastern Kentucky for her baking- especially her wedding cakes. Baking was not only a side job she kept while raising six children, but it was her passion.

Chef Reagan has been blessed with all of Bert’s journals and recipe books, filled to the brim with wisdom as well as tasty treats. These methods and lessons learned guide her as she continues on her baking journey.
